Welcome to the Texas PTA website, and thank you for visiting! This website is packed with materials, information and resources for parents, caregivers, school personnel, community members, and child advocates. The mission of PTA is to serve as a powerful voice for all children, a relevant resource for families and communities, and a strong advocate for the education and well-being of every child. Texas PTA’s rich history proves our commitment to the children and youth of Texas. While Texas PTA is over 100 years old, it is also the largest child advocacy association in the state, working to make every child’s potential a reality.
So join us! PTA addresses issues important to you and your community. So whether it’s joining the Local PTA at the campus across the street, or the community PTA, your support and voice helps us do what we do best: provide resources and programs for families. If you don’t have a specific PTA to join, you can join the Star Spangled PTA, our statewide PTA.
Focusing on our Purposes and the future, Texas PTA is a relevant association to every citizen in Texas! With shrinking budgets for our public schools, increasing class sizes, and government mandates, Texas PTA is needed now more than ever! Parent education, advocacy and family engagement are guaranteed and measurably-proven components to student success! PTAs across Texas organize volunteers and need you to get involved! It could be signing up for something as simple as reading in the classroom, helping with after-school tutoring, or making copies for teachers. But you and your volunteer support are urgently needed!
So join us in making the difference for all children, not just our own. Get involved. Join PTA! Working together we can make positive changes for every child with one voice!
