Texas PTA Recognized by USO
Texas PTA partnered with the United Service Organization (USO) at Fort Hood during our recent Summer Leadership Seminar. The purpose of the partnership was to promote the United Through Reading program, which provides a book and a video to a child with a parent overseas. Summer Leadership Seminar attendees purchased books from the Barnes & Noble bookstore in the exhibit hall, and donated those books back to the United Through Reading program. The books are then shipped overseas, where the deployed parent reads the book on video, then both are shipped to the child. Texas PTA members donated an incredible 517 books in just a three-day period!! Texas PTA is dedicated to supporting military families and is honored to be part of such a valuable program. We send out a sincere thanks to the USO and to Barnes & Noble!
USO Certificate of Recognition 
Texas PTA hosts several events each year on a variety of topics in a variety of venues. We hosts these events to offer training workshops, resources and networking opportunities with Texas PTA board and staff, as well as other Texas PTA members.
