Parent Education

ready set achieve

For more than 100 years, Texas PTA has been focused on our three primary objectives; parent education, parent involvement and advocacy. Ready. Set. Achieve! provides relevant, meaningful resources to help achieve those goals.

The single largest factor in student success is an environment of active and engaged families, educators and communities. With our educational resources, Texas PTA is working to make parents, teachers and students aware of the potential negative impact of bullying, unhealthy lifestyles or even modern resources such as the Internet. Most importantly, we are raising awareness among families that positive adult-role models and supporting our children as parents and mentors can make a huge difference in the life of every child!

Ready. Set. Achieve! parent education programs are available as a free benefit of Texas PTA.  When requesting one of these parent education programs, Texas PTA will provide the following:

  • A trained presenter
  • Attendee materials and parent resources
  • Promotional resources
  • Continuing Professional Education [CPE] credits for faculty
  • Translation equipment as available (interpreter provided by host)
