SMART

In partnership with” Barnes & Noble logo and Texas Library Association logo
As Texas PTA marks 100 years advocating for student achievement, Start Meeting and Reading Together reflects our commitment to literacy awareness as a cornerstone of good schools and great students!
SMART encourages families to spend a few moments each day reading and also to reach out to other, less-fortunate families in the PTA spirit of volunteerism and caring.
SMART Share
Collect new and gently used books for children in disadvantaged and difficult circumstances or create excitement for reading within schools by allowing students to share their favorite stories or authors.
SMART Read
In honor of Texas PTA’s Centennial, encourage students and families to read more individually and together as a family.
Get SMART and join us in this important initiative. See some of our success stories below and innovative ways that you and your school can get involved!
