Money Talks: A Guide to Family Financial Education

The first step in financial literacy is to understand the value of money and the cost of things. During this six-minute video featuring RBFCU financial literacy specialists, they will outline 8 steps to financial success for children and families. Following the video, you have the option to facilitate further discussion with provided prompts, activities, and handouts.

This video was produced through a partnership with Randolf-Brooks Federal Credit Union (RBFCU). Jennifer Crawford and Michelle Herrera are Financial Literacy Specialists at RBFCU. They each have over 22 years in the finance field, are Certified Credit Union Financial Counselors, and are currently responsible for promoting financial education awareness for members of the credit union as well as youth and adult learners in the community. They are very passionate about the credit union philosophy of “People Helping People.” Fun Facts: Michelle also holds a Certificate in Patisserie & Baking from Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Academy of Austin; and Jennifer is a Certified Teacher.
