Natural Disaster Relief Fund

The Natural Disaster Relief Fund was established by Texas PTA to provide critical financial support to Local and Council PTAs experiencing hardship due to natural disasters. Through this initiative, we offer assistance grants enabling PTAs to recover and continue their vital work supporting Texas students and schools.

Grant awards are determined based on specific needs outlined in applications and follow our established procedures to ensure fair distribution of resources.

Emergency Needs Relief Fund

Since 1995, the Texas PTA Emergency Relief Fund has provided assistance grants to individuals facing emergency situations including hurricanes, floods, tornadoes, catastrophic illness, and accidents. Our goal is to offer support during times of crisis when it's needed most.

Aid is granted based on demonstrated need and follows our established guidelines to maximize our ability to help those in critical situations.

National PTA Disaster Relief Fund

National PTA established the Disaster Relief Fund to offer financial support to local PTAs and school communities, including those not affiliated with PTA, that are facing significant disruption due to natural disasters or other major crises. These funds aim to help restore stability and support educational recovery efforts in affected areas.

Once approved by the National PTA task force, funds are distributed to Texas PTA, who will then ensure they are delivered directly to the designated school or PTA community in need.

Texas Clean School Bus Grant

Texas PTA has maintained longstanding partnerships with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and the Railroad Commission of Texas (the state's chief energy agency) to improve air quality for Texas youth. Through these collaborations, we help direct state and federal funds to school districts for retrofitting older diesel school bus engines and purchasing alternative fuel buses, creating healthier environments for our students.
