Build Community Through Engagement
A thriving PTA starts with one simple idea: bringing people together.
When families feel connected to their school community, they become more than attendees. They become volunteers, advocates, and members who help create brighter opportunities for every child. That's why this year's President's Challenge combines family engagement with membership growth because one naturally fuels the other.
Host a meaningful family engagement event, grow your membership by May 31, 2027, and show how your PTA is creating a welcoming community where every family feels they belong.
Track your progress using the Local PTA Roster, then submit your membership rosters and complete the short application by May 31, 2027 to earn this special recognition.

A community member can be extended family members, business partners, alumni, etc. These would be members who have a invested interest in your PTA succeeding but may not have a student of their own at your campus. Has your PTA recruited at least 15 Community members?! Then your PTA qualifies for the Community Membership Award! |
