College Readiness: Five Tips

Making the change after high school IS going to be stressful. Being prepared is the key. How will your student know the resources available to them, and not be afraid to reach out? How do we let them become independent? (Manage time/finances, advocate for self, make their own appointments...)

Adrienne Murphrey, Parent and Family Outreach Coordinator for Sorority and Fraternity Life in the Office of the Dean of Students at the University of Texas discusses five tips that should be helpful in preparing your student for their first post-secondary year in this 22-minute video. These tips will cover safety, adulting, mental health, time management, and parent and family associations.
