Congratulations to all Reflections Awardees!
From 45 state PTA congresses, National PTA received over 900 student entries inspired by the 2023-2024 Reflections theme I am Hopeful Because.... Of those submissions, they were thrilled to recognize over 200 student artists with Awards of Excellence and Merit and honor seven students with the top Outstanding Interpretation Award.
We are ecstatic that Texas students brought home 17 of those awards! Our students received ten Award of Merit, six Award of Excellence and TWO of the seven Outstanding Interpretation awards! This award is given to the student artworks that achieved the highest scores for interpretation of the theme.

Along with the prizes outlined below, National PTA will continue to celebrate our national-level award winners on National PTA’s website, social media channels, a Virtual Exhibit later in the year, the Outstanding Interpretation Awardee summer celebration and during their annual Student Arts Showcase in January.
- National Merit Award: Bronze Medal; Certificate of Merit; Work featured in the virtual exhibition
- National Award of Excellence: $200 Young Artist Scholarship; Silver Medal; Certificate of Excellence; Work featured in the virtual exhibition
- National Outstanding Interpretation Award: $800 Young Artist Scholarship; Gold Medal; Certificate of Outstanding Interpretation; Work featured in the virtual exhibition; $200 Prize for Local PTA Unit
Texas PTA Reflections Results
Texas PTA received over 800 entries for state-level judging, and we are proud to award over 500 of those entries! We are always amazed at the creativity and mastery that students show year after year. We thank all participating students for their outstanding work that truly showcased this year’s theme! And, of course, many thanks to all Local, Council, and state volunteers.
Results will be posted by March 15th! All entries awarded with an Overall Award of Excellence, Award of Excellence, Award of Merit, or Honorable Mention will be celebrated at Texas PTA's Reflections Awards Ceremony on May 18th in San Antonio. Ceremony invitations will be sent directly to the awarded students via email and snail mail. Participation letters will be snail mailed directly to those students as well.
Overall Award of Excellence entries have advanced to National PTA for the final round of judging. Those results will be announced by National PTA on May 1, 2024, and added to this page.
